United Way Agencies:
United Way Agencies and Program: To qualify for United
Way funding, an organization must be a health and human service
agency, governed by a board of local volunteers. Each year the
agencies must reapply for funding. Operating budgets and funding
requests are submitted to the United Way Allocations Committee
for study and evaluation. The committee's recommendations are
then presented to the United Way Board of Directors for their
review and approval. The current list of partner agencies of the
United Way of Putnam County are listed here with a brief
description of the programs funded by your United Way donation.

(One-time-only allocations to fund new and innovative programs
that seek to meet high priority needs of the community.)
Agencies providing basic needs (food/clothing/shelter), such as
food pantries, are eligible to receive Special Needs Fund
venture grants without having to complete the full application
process of a partner agency. This simplified allocation process
is intended to ease the burden of alleviating or preventing
hunger in Putnam County. |
